100 Days

Music & Lyrics by Colleen Dauncey

Shoulda known better than to give my heart to somebody
Who goes around collecting them for fun
Shoulda known better than to build a life with somebody
Who couldn’t put their trust in anyone

It fell down so fast I could barely escape the wreckage
But the clouds rolled in to wash it all away

And I would spend a hundred days out in the rain waiting
Like you said a hundred times that you were mine baby
Now I’m out here alone, soaked to the bone, and maybe I always knew
That I would spend a hundred days out in the rain waiting
To finally get over you

How does a heart end up in so many pieces
How can a heart completely disappear
And why did you capture mine to only release it
And walk away pretending like I’m not right here

Spending a hundred days out in the rain waiting
Like you said a hundred times that you were mine baby
Now I’m out here alone, soaked to the bone, and maybe I always knew
That I would spend a hundred days out in the rain waiting
To finally get over you

And you promised me it would be easier to let the storm erase the shore
But I don’t know how to make my heart forget that it was ever yours, ever yours

And I would spend a hundred days
Like you said a hundred times that you were mine

I would spend a hundred days out in the rain waiting
Like you said a hundred times that you were mine baby
Now I’m out here alone, soaked to the bone, and maybe I always knew
That I would spend a hundred days out in the rain waiting
To finally get over you
Finally get over you
To finally get over you
